Love U, Friend!

Hi ! I have made so many wonderful friends in the blogland and learnt so many new techniques from them. They all inspire me in some way or the other. So my card below is dedicated for all you wonderfull blogger friends. Thanks for being there and for all the encouraging comments.

I will be sending this card to one of my dear friend. [I don't want to reveal her name, coz its a secret for her ;)]
I have used a digi for this card and colored it using water colors. ICR really makes us think hard about the card concept :) And I totally enjoy that coz I am getting to learn new techniques and working on new ideas. For embellishment I used punched flowers, ribbon and buttons from my stash.

Go Green!!

Hey there! I am back with a new card. And the title of this card was suggested by my husband. Lol :)
I made this one little by little in past few weeks. But I m loving it very much. Its one of my first cards for men.
I quilled the key you see on the card. The border of the medallion is made out of my fav border punch.
There is a recycled element in this card of mine as well. The green portion is a cut-out from an old calendar. Seen here is the back portion of the actual design on the calendar

Handmade flower card

This is another card I made using my handmade flowers. In case you missed my other card made using the same flower, do visit this link.
I have kept the card pretty simple. The shaped background is hand-cut from an old calendar. I used punched flowers and some of my potpouri as embellies.

Do let me know how you like the card. Love to hear from you!

Slider plus pop-up card

This is my first slider card. I really got inspired from Dr. Sonia's awesome slider cards and wanted to try out one. It wasn't surely as easy as it seemed to be. My friend had ordered this card for his li'l baby doll's b'day which was just one day before mine :)
I also added a cake pop-up inside the card. This too is inspired by Dr. Sonia's pop-up cards. She is a pro at interactive cards! Do check out her blog: Cards, crafts & kids projects.

ICR Mumbai Crafters meet

Finally we had the first get-together of the ICR Mumbai crafters on 16th July. Incidentally, the gang at Delhi and Bangalore also met on the same day for the first time. The excitement of all the members just cannot be explained in words. We bonded like a house on fire. Everyone had so much to share and so many things to talk about. Paru shared so many tips and tricks that I almost thought of jotting them down on a piece of paper :)
We shared our experiences and our fav craft destiantions in Mumbai.
Neha and Jovita gave us a pleasant surprise by getting some goodies for us. Khyati also got cute little cards for all of us. Paru brought some really gorgeous embossed papers for us.

Pink Card

This is the first time I made an all pink card. I have made cards which are primarily pink but they all did have a dash of other colors like green for leaves, black for sentiment, etc. I made this card for ICRC6 challenge - Pink on Pink and a line from the tic tac toe.
I used ribbon, flowers and butterfly from the tic tac toe.
Although it might look simple, but this card is a bit complicated. As in you can't just open it simply. Have a closer look! :)
You will need to untie the ribbon...
 Unlock the butterfly....
And then open to read the contents :)

So how do you like it guys!! It took me 2 hours to make this card, but I kept thinking the whole day about what to make for this challenge. I am glad I could make this card for the ICRC6 challenge just in time!! :)

I am also entering this card in the following challenges :
One Layer Wednesday 62 challenge. This card is made for my friend's little daughter who loves butterflies :)
Card Cupids Blog - Monochromatic Card: My color is Pink
All sorts challenge - Free n easy July

Crafty shopping on Birthday

Hey guys! First of all thanks for such wonderful birthday wishes on my blog, mail and ICR forum :)
Last week Priya posted pics of her crafty shopping on her bday, and how I wished I could do the same.
I happen to visit a newly opened mall in Mumbai on my bday and guess which shop I spotted as soon as I entered there !!!! Hobby ideas store :) And I couldn't stop thanking God for it :) The store had closed down from other malls that I frequent and I was very upset about that. I spent more than an hour shopping to my heart's content and my hubby accompanied me smilingly!!

Check out Hobby ideas website. They have stores in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat & Nagpur.

 The goodies
 Some stickers, rub-ons, sentiments...
 Butterfly mania :)
 Loads of embellishments!!
 DPs :)

Quilled flowers bouquet

Heya! I know I am posting too frequently, but I have so much to blog about that I couldn't resist :)
I made this card for the 3rd winner of my blog contest. (Remember I had kept this on hold so as not to leak the secret before the recepient's B'day). Huzefa wanted a card for his wifey's bday which was on 1st July. He wanted me to include flowers in the card. I am glad to know that she loved the card :)

Top 3 at ICRC Challenge!!

Yayee, I made it to the Top 3 at ICRC Challenge. I am chosen as one of the top 3 designers for the Quilled garden card which I made for the ICRC5 challenge. The contest was to interpret rain the way we wanted.

Here is the announcement for the ICRC5 upshot.

Truly an amazing start to my fav month (B'day & Ann) of the year!!
Thanks ICR for the appreciation!!

Handmade flower

A quick post for the day! The background is a digi. Since the digi was smaller than the size of the card stock I camouflaged the white space on the side with pink paper and embellishing with a bow out of quilling paper. The flower is made by cutting quilling strips in different sizes, and adding layer by layer. The center of the flower is a simple fringed flower.

I am entering this card in Crafty JC's Challenge: Digi or Doodle.
