Double Tri-Shutter Card - Love Theme

Hi friends, today I am sharing a special fold card with Love theme. It's a Double Tri-shutter card with chalkboard design.

Below is the step by step guide as to how I created this card. This card was part of my DT project at Mudra

1. Made a Double Tri-shutter card using black CS.
2. Decorated it using pattern papers.
3. Then made four 4x3" panels to use as embellishments for the card.
4. Stamped using VersaMark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.
5. Added few elements using Signo White gel pen.
5. Drew borders using the same gel pen around the black embossed pieces.
6. Also stamped few images with Hero Arts Unicorn White ink to make my own custom chalkboard elements/stickers to decorate the smaller panels of the card.
7. Made a shaker element for the front panel using the heart die-cut and Mudra's Sugar Plum and Clear Sequins Mix.
8. Finished off the card by adding all the embellishments, flowers, die-cuts, etc.
9. Added a seam binding ribbon to keep the card shut.

Here are all the detailed pictures of the card...

Tri-Fold Birthday Card

Hi friends. I am sharing a card that I made as a Guest designer for Mudra Craft Stamps in December this year. This special fold card has been made using the Linen Blooms stamp set.

Here's a detailed step-by-step process of how I made this card:

This is a tri fold card with each panel measuring around 2.5 inches wide.

1. I stamped loads of flowers and leaves from the Linen Blooms stamp set to create two big floral bunches for this card.

2. Fussy cut all of the flowers and leaves.

3. Stamped the Birthday sentiments on a die cut piece and also on the middle panel of the tri fold card.

4. I glued the stamped die cut piece, offsetting it on the first and second panels of the tri fold.

5. Thereafter, I started arranging the flowers and leaves to form a bouquet around the die cut. Some elements were stuck using glue and some were popped up with foam dots.

6. Once I was happy with the look of the bouquet, I cut off the excess top part of the first panel of the tri fold.

7. Then I made the second floral bunch on the third panel of the tri fold.

8. I cut off the excess card stock from the middle and third panels too, outlining the bouquet.

Double Gatefold Card

Hi friends. I am sharing a card that I made as a Guest designer for Mudra Craft Stamps in September this year. This special fold card has been made using the Gerbera Blooms stamp set.

Here's a detailed step-by-step process of how I made these cards:

1. For this card I started out with a 6 by 12 inches white card base.

2. Scored it at 2", 4", 8" and 10".

3. Mountain fold the 2" and 10" score lines, and valley fold the 4" and 8" score lines.

4. Then I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Gerbera Blooms Stamp set on white CS.

5. I first stamped the outline pieces with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger Gold embossing powder.

6. For the base layer of the flowers I used Rose Madder ink and for the innermost layer I used Plum ink from Ranger.

7. For the base layer of the leaves I used Leaf Green ink and for the third layer I used Fern Green ink from Ranger.

8. Next, I picked up a few pattern papers from Papermania Blueprint collection and adhered them on to the card base.

9. I fussy cut all the stamped elements and adhered them on the front panel of the gate fold.

10. The two flowers were glued on the two panels of the gatefold in such a way that they overlapped the other panel on closing.

11. I added two metal brads on two sides of the gatefold to wind the string around it and to create a closure for the card.

12. The twine has to be unwound to open up the card.

13. I stamped the custom sentiment from Brushed Alphas Stamp set on a tag die cut and attached it to one of the brads.

14. Lastly, I added a metal embellishment on two corners of the card front, and glued a die cut in the middle part of the card to have space for the message."

Center Step Card - Mudra Lotus Blooms

Hi friends, today I have a very special card to share. It's special because after a long time I made a special fold card.  As I was looking at my old creations, I realised how many different types of folds we used to create as opposed to the simple top folding cards that we make nowadays. So I thought why not try something different with these beautiful watercolored Lotus Blooms.

To begin with, I watercolored and fussy cut my stamped images. Then I created a center step card base and distressed the front part with distress inks. I splattered some water droplets on it to give a nice look on the background. I adhered a couple die cut image on the first step fold and added the lotus bud and a leaf at the last fold of the center step card.

I arranged the floral images and leaves on the front portion of the card and embellished it with some mdf leaves and added a few sequins to complete the card.

Napkin Fold Card with Handmade Flowers

This is a 10 x 10" Napkin fold card that I made recently. I have used bright colored pattern papers from DCWV paper stack.

This is how it looks when opened and laid flat. I have used MS around the page punch for the card base and the band.

All the flowers that you see here, big small and tiny fillers, are handmade by me. The leaves are handcut and scrunched to give a natural look.

Napkin Fold Card with Floral bunch

Hello! Who doesn't like making special fold cards!! They do require more effort and time, but I guess the hard work is worth it becasue they look more appealing than a normal one layer card.

Here is a huge napkin fold card that I made out of a 12x12" card stock. I decided to use  a bright patter paper to have a nice contrast with the kraft card stock.
For the band, I hand cut a frame to place the floral bunch on. The floral bunch is created using an assortment of daisy flowers, roses and leaves from my stash. For added interest, I punched out butterflies in colors picked from the PP and spread them across the card.

Special Fold Card with Bookmark

Hello Everyone! Today I have a Special Fold Card with Bookmark to share with you. I had seen this kind of card on the internet but I am not able to locate the tutorial right now.

Actually speaking, it is a tri-fold card with the third panel being less than half the width of one of the panels. It folds inwards and has a pocket to hold a bookmark.

Sorry the pictures are not that good due to poor lighting.

Tri Shutter Card - Happy Birthday

Hi. This is my first try at a Tri-Shutter Card. I find it a bit complicated but its so interesting because of the fact that it has so many panels to embellish. I have used really soft pastel colors for this card. The white flowers are handmade with lace. Rest of the stuff is pretty self-explanatory so I won't write much here. The sentiment is stamped on vellum.

Triple Circular Easel Card - Birthday

I was just sorting out my cards folder on my laptop and realised I had not posted some of my cards made previously. So, I am going to clear all the backlog and post them one by one in the days to come.
This card is similiar to the Triple Circular Easel Card I had made earlier. The difference is mainly the color theme.

The flowers are a mix of prima and locally bought flowers. The sentiments are all free digs.

For the bottom panel I have attached the top PP with a brad, so that it can be moved to write a secret message below.

Triangle Front Card - Glitter Overload

Hi. Today I am sharing another triangle front card.....finally a little break from lattice cards :) For this card, I used a stencil from Pie Lane for the center motif. I laid the stencil on the card front and applied a thick coat of glue over it. Then I sprinkled the glitter generously over it. After removing the excess glitter, I got a light coat of glitter in the required area. I was not happy with the result, so I added another coat of glue and glitter over it.

At first, the central design was all that I intended to do on this card,  but then I wanted to play a bit more with the glitter, so I went ahead and added more lines at the blue base. For this look, I stuck double sided tape on the card base and sprinkled glitter all over it. For the extra bling, I added some flat silver gems to the card.
