Romantic Music Theme Explosion Box

Hi everyone! Today I have a multi-layered Magic Explosion Box to share with you. The paper pack used here is from DCWV Autumn collection. I have used some metal embellishments and vintage ephemera to give it a vintage feel.

This is how the box looks when closed.

Cute little metal charms, ephemera and embellishments adorn the lid of the box.

The box has three layers inside with lots of space for journaling and pictures. This is the outermost layer that has space for photos.

This is the second layer which can also hold more pictures tucked behind the chipboard embellishments.

The innermost layer has pockets to hold tags that can be used for journaling. It has more space outside for journaling.

In the centre of the explosion box is a miniature wooden piano. I made a mini music book to be placed on top of the piano. Also placed a small bouquet and metal clock charm on it.

Anniversary Explosion Box

Hello! This is an anniversary explosion box that I made recently on order. The client referred to one of my earlier explosion box that I had made and wanted a similar one for her special day. I have improvised a bit on the earlier one by adding additional heart flaps on the four corners and have also changed the layout of the chairs.

Here a quick video of the explosion box.

Thanks for visiting!!

Multifold Keepsake Box

Hello guys. Recently one of my friends asked me to create a keepsake box for her little baby boy. She wanted to keep tiny stuff in the box and at the same time wanted it to be a bit sturdy as well.  The brief was to use bright spring colors and figures to make it look attractive for the baby.

Here is the box that I created. It is a multifold box..... not sure if there is any other specific name for this. It has four cascading compartments to store stuff and it closes neatly into one compact box with lid.

I used small pieces of velcro to fasten the box with straps. The leather looking cover is actually a paper which I got from a local store. It gives a very sophisticated look to the box. When opened it gives a bright and cheerful look with all the fun colors and the foam animals and figures.

Decoupage Mdf Jewellery Box

Hey there! Finally I tried my hand at another big decoupage project. I bought this six compartment mdf box from Craftslane. I wanted to make a jewellery box for myself so I wasn't afraid to experiment with this one. The pink according to me is a bit darker than I wanted it to be. But I guess it doesn't look that bad!! :)

I coated the box with white wood primer, and then painted with pink acrylic paint. Then I pasted the decoupage hydrangea tissue paper design all over the box. I then applied a generous coat of mod modge over it. To embellish it, I dug out these pretty flowers from Itsy Bitsy that I had been hoarding since a long time. The butterfly chipboard embellishment is also from Itsy Bitsy.

I created a cluster at the left top corner with a metal fairy charm and loads of pearls.

I also liberally stuck two lines of pearl and rhinestone border on all sides of the box.

And here it is, filled with all my junk jewellery :) It is also apt for gifting on festivals. You can fill it up with dry fruits or other gifts.

Decoupage Mug

Hi. This is another DIY decoupage project that I made for my craft desk.

I had this porcelain mug from Radio Mirchi with me for many years and I was kind of bored with it now. I decided to give it a fresh look with decoupage. The base coat is peach acrylic color. Then I glued the decoupage design with mod podge over the mug. Once dry, I applied a coat of mod podge over the entire design.

DIY Decoupage Tissue Box 2

Hey there. This is another mdf tissue box that I altered. I first applied a coat of primer on it and then painted with peach acrylic color. I used decoupage tissues to cover the box. Then I embellished it using a mix of flowers, pearls and other embellishments. I also used a mdf sentiment cut-out on the box.

I extended the tissue paper design to the sides of the box. At the bottom edge I applied lace and self adhering peals.

DIY Decoupage Tissue Box1

Hi all.... I have been bitten by the decoupage bug and I am trying my hands at various articles. Today I am sharing a tissue box that I made for my dad's car.

The mdf tissue box is from Craftslane.  I first applied a coat of primer on it and then painted with peach acrylic color. I used decoupage tissues sent to me by Maninder of Rainbow Craftykari blog. Then I embellished it using a mix of flowers, pearls and metal heart embellishment. For the sides, I have cut out a large oval doily and pasted on the upper part of the box. And for the lower part, I have used Ms Fence punch, and punched out on pattern paper.
