Handmade Christmas Card 2014 - Design 4

Hello. Here is my fourth Christmas Card for the year 2014. You can view my other Christmas cards here.

What's special about this CAS card is that I have used a totally unrelated stamp to make the Xmas tree.

I used two scroll stamps and mounted them side by side on the acrylic block.

Then I cut out a tree shaped stencil and stamped over it.

Hope you like my simple experiment to use stamps in a more creartive way.
Thanks for visiting.

Handmade Christmas Card 2014 - Design 2

Hello folks! Over the next few days, I will be sharing a Holiday Card each day. The layout used is similar to the one I had made previously [Link here].

I think this layout is really easy to work with and great for mass production too. I have used various embellishments here -  a chipboard poinsettia, handcut glitter foam holly leaf, few rhinestones and a sticker sentiment.

Hope you like my simple card. Stay tuned to see a new Holiday card, every day, for the next few days. You may like to see all my Christmas Cards here.

Thanks for visiting!

Clean and Simple 292

Hi. Today I am playing along the Clean and Simple #292 sketch. Here is the card that I created. For the lower part I have used The Crafter's Workshop - 6 x 6 Doodling Template - Mini Kaleidoscope stencil. The upper portion is made using scrap paper strips that we chop off while making projects.

The flowers are punched from silver glitter paper and and I attached a peach colored paper as backing for the flower. I also punched out same flower in black and attached below the glittered flower to add depth and shadow.

Congratulations - CAS Black and Gold Card

I am on a roll with this Black and Gold color combo. This is my third card in this series. You can view them all here. The card is pretty CAS and quite an effortless one. I just used my MS Lace Punch to punch out the golden embossed paper. Then just finished the card with Pie Lane wine glass stickers and Congratulations sentiment.

Just a Note - CAS Black and Gold Card

Hi people! I really love the current challenge at BGC and I think the color combo is something I have not tired before. I am just loving exploring the possibilities with it. So here is another take on it.

The golden paper is pre-embossed, which I found at a local store. The Lily of the Valley flower bunch is traced from a digital image and fussy cut. It indeed was a task to cut this delicate bunch. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and glued using glue dots. The tiny bow embellishment is from Itsy Bitsy.

Stencil Background Card 1

Hey, my today's card is made using The Crafter's Workshop fish scales stencil. I recently got some new stencils and was playing with them. For this card, I have used glossy card stock and I must say the results are very different than that on water color or non-glossy paper. I love the neat finish on glossy paper and also the fact that the inks look softer on it. On watercolor paper, they give a bolder look.
The leaves are also made using stencils and Forest moss distress ink and then fussy cut. The flowers are all handmade. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted sentiment stamp set.

Celebrate - CAS Black and Gold Card

Hi. Today I am sharing a CAS card in black and gold color theme. I am glad it turned out just the way I wanted it to be, though I could not capture it well in the pic. The background is done with stencil and Gold perfect pearls powder. I just loved how quick and easy it was. The wine glass stickers are from Pie Lane. I have been hoarding them since a long time and I had this vague idea of what I wanted to do with them.

This is how I made the background. Laid the stencil on CS, inked with VersaMark ink and then generously covered it with Perfect Pearls powder.

CAS Card - Spring

Hi. This is my second card for the day. This is based on a dress of a TV character that I saw last week. I could not find a screenshot of that dress, but will try to take a screen grab from the video and share here. The dress is inspired by Kapil's grandmom's dress from his show Comedy Nights with Kapil, 12 April episode.

The card is very simple and I like the colors. I have scored the sea green paper with MS Score Board. The colorful pattern paper complements the green and the lace completes the look.

Sending you love

Heya there! I am back with a CAS card today. Have been waiting to upload this since last few days. This card is inspired by Jennifer Mcguire's cards. I love the way she uses stamps to create such wonderful cards.

I have used the Inkadinkado Clear Stamps MOD FLOWERS INCHIE stamp set for this card. I have tried to mix and match the flowers and leaves to create a random bunch.

DIY Stencil

Hi guys.. this is another simple card that I made inspired by the Stenciled class.
I made a stencil using my giant daisy punch on a transparent packaging sheet. I must admit it is rather difficult to punch the packaging sheet. I could just partially punch and then the punch got stuck. I removed it carefully and cut out the uncut parts with a knife. I second stencil that I used is from Pie Lane.

I used Wild honey, worn lipstick and ripe permission distress inks for this technique. Used some beads from my stash to form the center of the flowers.

Hi folks. Here is a quick post to share a card I made particularly for Sindhu's challenge.

    Thank You Monochromatic Card

Hi everyone!! It feels good to post after one full month. I was MIA due to some issues on the home front. I still won't be very regular with my posts, but I couldn't resist making one card this month.
I wanted to play along the lovely challenges running this month but managed to join only a few. I picked up Deepti's Card to play along her challenge.  She is a lovely crafter who has attained great feats in a short span of time and managed to make a mark in the blog world. Kudos to you girl!!

I have cut strips of pattern paper and adhered for the bg. Added a flourish, layered some prima flowers and a paper rose flower. The sentiment stamp is from Micia.

    Cake & Ice-cream

Heya. Another quick card from me today. This card is based on many things.
First is the sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping.
And second is this video I saw on You tube.

I have used my PP scraps and some handy embellishments to make this really quick card and I love how colorful it looks :)

    CAS Argyle

The moment I saw this challenge on BGC I knew I had to make something. And it primarily had to be CAS as this argyle pattern that I had is quite busy in itself.

I punched through the pattern and used the negatives to form the flowers.

Let's get trendy now - Sequins

Heya. I made this card to make use of the sequins that I have been hoarding for so long. And the challenge at Let's get trendy inspired me to get them out.

I have tried many new things in this card. Did some background stamping and then embossing on it. Created the bg with inks and made a border with faux stitching. Then glued the sequins to add some bling to the card.

Just for you - Monochromatic Card

Hey there. This is a very simple monochromatic card that I made while wrapping up my craft supplies after making the stuff I had planned for the day. So it was made in a jiffy with whatever came my way.
I have used 3D glitter stickers, doily, PP scraps, a left over cut-out of heart, flowers and pearls.

Father's Day card for Lulupu Challenge DT Inspiration

Hey guys! It's the start of a brand new month and we have a fabulous challenge up at Lulupu blog - My First Love, My Dad!! This is my take on this month's theme. I actually wanted to make a guitar shaped card but wasn't sure how it would shape up as the top part of the card would become very thin. So instead I used these fabulous PPs from my Lulupu DT kit and hand cut this guitar. For the guitar I have used a PP from Zephyr paper pad. For the bg I have used MME 6x6 Blink of an eye paper pad.
A closer look at the detailing..
The sentiment is a print out from a digi I found on the net. I have adhered it using a brad so that it can be moved around.
