Center Step Card - Mudra Lotus Blooms

Hi friends, today I have a very special card to share. It's special because after a long time I made a special fold card.  As I was looking at my old creations, I realised how many different types of folds we used to create as opposed to the simple top folding cards that we make nowadays. So I thought why not try something different with these beautiful watercolored Lotus Blooms.

To begin with, I watercolored and fussy cut my stamped images. Then I created a center step card base and distressed the front part with distress inks. I splattered some water droplets on it to give a nice look on the background. I adhered a couple die cut image on the first step fold and added the lotus bud and a leaf at the last fold of the center step card.

I arranged the floral images and leaves on the front portion of the card and embellished it with some mdf leaves and added a few sequins to complete the card.

Center Step Card for Love Birds

Hi friends! Hope you all are doing great. Today's card is a very different type of card that I attempted and the color combo that I have used is also something I never tried before.

I am not sure if its called a center step card. I had followed a template from the net to cut this long back and I took it out recently to work on it.

For the panels I did some stamping with the same stamp twice using two different colors. I am forgetting the name of this technique right now. For the center steps I used Itsy Bitsy's sticker backing paper as matting. These pretty stickers are also from Itsy Bitsy. The flowers are handmade using this template.

A close-up of the center... the leaves are punched from an old brochure.

Lulupu Challenge#10 ~ Birthday Special Blog Hop Day 4

Hello Everyone!

www.lulupu.com turns 1 this month and we are all happy and celebrating!

I joined the Lulupu team in January this year and believe you me, I am loving every bit of it.
I have learned so much from my fellow DT members and worked with the best of craft supplies.
I wish a very bright future for Lulupu and hope it becomes one of the most loved craft stores in India!

March is going to be fun at Lulupu - The Craft Lounge! There will be many giveaways and tonnes of fun so do ensure you follow Lulupu all around FB, Twitter, Pinterest and Youtube! To kick start the celebration we have a Lulupu Design Team Blog Hop along with the monthly challenge. So if you have landed at this post just now, you can start HERE and join us in this fun filled week !

So here I am sharing my project for Lulupu Challenge #10 - Let's Celebrate.

As the challenge suggests, we were to take inspiration from a fellow Design Team member and create a project that celebrates.... well... just about anything. My inspiration was Snehal Watwe's Center fold card.

I love this fold and Snehal has made a really sweet baby card using this fold.
I have used only the fold as an inspiration for my card and designed it in my own way.

For this card, I have mainly made use of the beautiful Tigerlilly Paper Pad from Kaisercraft which is available at Lulupu store.
The tutorial will help you understand better how I used the paper pad on the card.

Since the theme was celebration, I made a Birthday card with cake for Lulupu's first b'day. Happy Birthday dear Lulupu!! :)

Continue the Lulupu Design Team Blog Hop with the Snehal Watwe tomorrow on 6th March. Also here is the list to help you track the blog hop ending on 9th March.

White on White Wedding Card

Hi everyone! Hope all of you had a great weekend. I made this white on white card for BGC challenge over the weekend. I really liked this challenge and as soon as I read about it, I started visualising this card in my mind.
It is a center step card and I used an A4 sheet for this. So the card is quite big. I have used lots of punches here. The bride dress is made using paper doileys. I used two doileys to layer the dress.
Here is a side view of the card.
I have used Martha Stewart Double Arches punch for the sides and Diamond Fence for the inner sides on both sides. I also used  Diamond Fence punch for the bottom panel.
Here's a close look at the sentiment and the hearts that I cut out from the lattice heart punch.
Not sure if you noticed it. I have used a nylon net, that comes with some bottles as part of packaging, for the background behind the bride.

Center Step Card

Hi. Am back with another center step card today. I used my new MS Diamond Fence Punch in this card. I have used the image from 'Especially for you' A4 paper pack for this card. I really loved this pack as it has lots of die cuts with matching sentiments and patter papers.

Sweet Peas with Heart Punch

Hi all. I had a super fun long weekend. I went berserk with my new craft tools from US. I got a MS Score Board, MS Punches and some stickers, doileys, etc. Will soon share what all I made using them :)
Today I want to a share a sweet card having one of my fav flowers 'Sweet Peas'. I am not sure how many of you have seen these flowers in real. I have been lucky to be brought up in army cantts and we had huge lawns in our flats. My dad is very fond of gardening and I have seen a variety of flowers blossom in my garden from Sweet Peas to Dahlias to Zinias and what not!
Sweet Peas are really delicate and need support to grow as they are mainly creepers. They also smell very good. I had seen a video tute on You Tube for making them but the lady had used a particular butterfly punch. I couldn't make it then as I didnt have that punch. But suddenly it struck me to use a heart punch for making sweet peas.
I'll share the link of the video on You Tube soon. Don't have it here with me right now.

Here is my card....
I have tried a center step card for the first time. Used my new MS Score Board to emboss the white bg for the flowers to give a lattice effect.
 Side view...
A closer look at the flowers
I have made an elaborate tute on how to use a heart punch to make Sweet Pea flowers.
Please click on the image below to enlarge.
My tute above is for the Sweet Pea buds. I have followed Judy's tute here for the bigger flowers. Only difference is that I used heart punch again and have done embossing instead of spritzing.

Also for those of you who would want to use the sentiment I have used in this card, here it is!!
