I love making explosion boxes and I have made a no. of them in varying themes. One of my client wanted an exploding box for her husband's bday. She wanted me to incorporate beer bottles inside the box along with cake. This itself started ringing a bell in my mind and I began imagining how it would shape up.
Here's a look at the box. I loved the color combo :) How do you like it???

This is how the box looks from inside... Whole lot of personal messages and cute pics.
I made the beer bottles from old wedding card and some stickers (the golden part). For the beer mugs, I stuck these Pie Lane glasses on brown CS and cut out a cup shape from it. Isn't the square cake so adorable :)

ReplyDeleteOk there are many things That I instantly liked about this box.Firstly the colour combo...the sentiment on the box .And last but not the least the cleverly crafted beer bottles and the mugs...The square cake is exquisite.well done.I am sure your client must have loved your creation.Since you recycled old wedding card to make the beer bottle and have used a fabric ribbon on the box ....you may consider entering this at the current Lessology challenge and also at PPS for the ribbon and flowers used on the box.
