Quilled flower card for Valentine

Hi peeps. I am enjoying my mini break in Pune at my mom's place. While everyone is having an afternoon nap, I thought I'll quickly share a card that I made last week.
The flower is made using quilling comb. I combined 9 petals together to form one layer of the flower. Then I glued the two layers.
For the flower center, I placed a wooden bead in the gap in the middle and covered it up with black glitter balls. [See here another flower where I used same technique]
The PP is from Kavitha's store. The heart cut-outs are from Itsy-Bitsy. And the sentiment is stamped using my new stamp that I purchased from Jovi's store.

BIG Flower card

Hi all! Today's card is based on Mojo Monday Sketch # 224.
Yellow is my favorite color and I loved the way this card has come out.
The flower is handmade without the use of any diecuts or punches.I throwed in a bit of black to break the monotony. But the main focal point of the card is the flower center.
It's made by gluing black colored glitter balls on a wooden bead.
 Here's a close-up of the flower center.
The Mojo Monday sketch and my card...
Hope you like my card!! Am off to sleep now :)

White daisies card

Hi all. I am back with another card today. The blue embossed bg is a RAK from Paru. And the ribbon is a RAK from Neha. I cut big scallops to border the bg. I made the daisies with plain white printing paper. The leaves are handcut.
Thanks for dropping by my blog :) Hope you like my card.

Husking flower

Hi all. Today I am sharing a card wherein I've made a flower using 'Husking' technique. It is one of my favourite quilling techniques and I've made some projects earlier using it.
In case you are interested to see them, here are the links:
Daffodils using husking, Other miscellaneous flowers (Some of which I've yet to use on my cards) & Jewellery set (See 3rd image for husked earrings)
Hope you like my card. These leaves were illustrated by Mihaela on her blog.

Quilled heart card

Hi all. This is yet another CAS card. I have tried the bee-hive technique for the first time.
It was discovered by Susan and also illustrated by Pritesh.
Nothing much to write about the card. I have added a red papaer on the inner side to write the wordings on.

Giveaway at Azlina's blog

Hi all! As the post title suggests, there is a giveaway at Azlina's blog.
I really admire her work and when I started quilling, she and few other Malaysian quillers were the source of my inspiration.
I had also won at one of her blog giveaways in August in 2010.
And I still treasure this card with me :)

Do join in guys!

CAS Card & some Wins

Hi folks! This is a rather simple card that I made few days back.
I just happened to see this paper at a stationery store and fell in love with it. Don't know what it is called, but it has a net like texture and is a bit translucent.
I adorned it with flowers from Pie Lane. The pearls and ribbon are from my stash.
The border is handcut as you can see through the paper. Then I punched holes into it with my single punch :)

Quilled love birds

Hello everyone!! This is my first post for this year. But I have lots of cards ready to be shared :)
Today I am sharing my most recently quilled card based on Pritesh's challenge, which was to make a valentine day card. The condition is not to use reds, pinks and hearts.  using nonntraditional colors. It really got me thinking and this is what I came up with. The branch is hand drawn. I added a half moon with glitter balls as stars, to depict moonlight.
 A close-up of the moon...
 And the birdies..
Hope you all like my card. Unless you leave a comment, how do I know? :))
