DIY Flowers and Leaves

Hi all. I love to make flowers for my projects and I am so glad I saw this tute on You Tube to make roses using 5 petal punch. Now I can make them in any color I like and will never run out of them!!
Also I have made these leaves using old price tags. Below is a tutorail on how to recycle price tags to make your own embellishments.
Here is a look at my card. These lovely flourish die cuts are from Jovi's store.
A closer look at the roses... don't they look super cute!

Shabby Chic Card

Hi friends. Today I am sharing another CAS card. I hope I am right in calling it a shabby chic card. It has this vintage feel because of the chair and lamp. I just had a wague idea of vintage interiors in mind and I wanted to keep it simple.
The lamp is printed on card stock and fussy cut. The frame is also handcut.
The chair is from Paper Mania pattern paper collection.
The flower pot is a digi and I have done paper piecing for the pot. The flowers are colored using Faber Castell water color pencils.

Quilled Paisley

Some projects take unusually longer time to end! Has it happened with you as well? I started this card some time last year but never could finish it off. Guess everything happens at the right time. I was waiting for the right elements to complete it :)
I tried a quilled paisley for the first time. I love paisley shapes and really wanted to make it in quilling. The look of the card is quite traditional and Indian.
Hope you like my card. Have a great day!

CAS Card

Here's a CAS card I made last week. The flower is made using a small leaf punch. I layered the petals to make the flower. Same punch is used for the leaves. I have scored the top part of the card with horizontal  lines  using MS Score Board.
The lovely die cut is from Jovi's store. And the stamp used is alse from her store.

Mojo Monday 255

Hi. Today's card is based on Mojo Monday Sketch #255. It's a very simple card but I like the contrast in the colors. The kettle image is a digi that I printed and colored. It was actually a colored image that I converted into black and white and printed and colored. The border is MS Diamond Fence Punch.
 Front view
A close-up of the kettle and flowers. The cream rose is made using 5 petal punch. The purple one was sent as RAK by Varshitha and the pink mulberry one is from Ujjwal's store.

Center Step Card

Hi. Am back with another center step card today. I used my new MS Diamond Fence Punch in this card. I have used the image from 'Especially for you' A4 paper pack for this card. I really loved this pack as it has lots of die cuts with matching sentiments and patter papers.

Also wanted to share with you that I was chosen among Top 3 at Lulupu's July Challenge for Mini Albums for my CD Mini Album

Sweet Peas with Heart Punch

Hi all. I had a super fun long weekend. I went berserk with my new craft tools from US. I got a MS Score Board, MS Punches and some stickers, doileys, etc. Will soon share what all I made using them :)
Today I want to a share a sweet card having one of my fav flowers 'Sweet Peas'. I am not sure how many of you have seen these flowers in real. I have been lucky to be brought up in army cantts and we had huge lawns in our flats. My dad is very fond of gardening and I have seen a variety of flowers blossom in my garden from Sweet Peas to Dahlias to Zinias and what not!
Sweet Peas are really delicate and need support to grow as they are mainly creepers. They also smell very good. I had seen a video tute on You Tube for making them but the lady had used a particular butterfly punch. I couldn't make it then as I didnt have that punch. But suddenly it struck me to use a heart punch for making sweet peas.
I'll share the link of the video on You Tube soon. Don't have it here with me right now.

Here is my card....
I have tried a center step card for the first time. Used my new MS Score Board to emboss the white bg for the flowers to give a lattice effect.
 Side view...
A closer look at the flowers
I have made an elaborate tute on how to use a heart punch to make Sweet Pea flowers.
Please click on the image below to enlarge.
My tute above is for the Sweet Pea buds. I have followed Judy's tute here for the bigger flowers. Only difference is that I used heart punch again and have done embossing instead of spritzing.

Also for those of you who would want to use the sentiment I have used in this card, here it is!!

ICR Meet in Mumbai

Hi all. ICR members celebrated first official ICR meet on 1st Saturday of this month. We in Mumbai celebrated the meet on 11th at Barista, RCity Mall, Ghatkopar. Here are some glimpses of the meet.
6 members attended the meet: Left to Right - Mrs Nirmala, Gopi Shah, Indira Tanwar, Ushma Shah, Jarna Patel and Seema Luthra.
Seema's daughter Rhea, a budding crafter, helping us...
Seema is viewing Mrs Nirmala's craft album. Mrs Nirmala is a certified teacher from Fevicryl .
 ICR Swap co-ordinator Gopi
Mrs Nirmala with her gorgeous duplex paper roses.
 Ushma, Jarna and Seema...
As part of the meet we were supposed to exchange goody bags having raw material to make a card. These are the kits we exchanged...
This is the kit I put together.... it went to Ushma..
And this is the kit I received from Seema...

And this is the card I made with it........ I have only used the stuff provided in the kit.

While I was at RCity Mall, I thought I'll go around and see what's new. So I came across something crafty, recycled, made from newspaper.. Feast your eyes!!
Bbye.... and have a great day!!

Recycled Bookmarks

Hi All. These are some bookmarks that I made using old wedding cards.
The texture of these handmade papers is really nice and I wanted to make use of them.
I have stuck colored papers to hide the text on the cards and retained the golden border on top and bottom.

 Thanks for visiting!
