Green day!

Hey there! Here is my post for this weekend........ I think this is becoming a norm for me as I am more or less posting only on weekends. But I mostly post 2 to 3 cards made using a similar technique yet disparate from each other.
For the cards below I used green cardstock (a color I have never used earlier). I used my border punch to create 2 differnt types of backgrounds, and for embellishing I used my quilled flowers that I had in stock.

Happy Viewing!

Sunshine card

I call this card the sunshine card because of the colors. The semicircle gives a feeling of the sun and the bright orange and yellow quilled flowers make up for the colors of the sun. I am really loving the way it came up !
This card also goes to MOJO MONDAY 185 contest as they don't have any limitation on the no. of cards you can enter. Go check them out!

More cards.... crafty weekend :)

My weekend isn't complete if I don't "create" anythg. I made four cards this weekend. Will be posting them one by one....... Watch out for them :)

This card goes to MOJO MONDAY 185 contest.

Somewat different...

These cards are not the usual stuff that I make....... I used cartoon characters for the first time and set them on color co-ordinated backgrounds. The purple round shape used for the card on the left is again another clothing tag. Embellished with quilled accents and ribbon...... pretty easy to make.

This card goes to the Lily pad cards challenge: Kathy’s Color Throw Down!

More tags put to use :)

A holiday put to good use by letting some creativity flow :) I had a long weekend and its good to have Monday as a holiday, isn't it? I really wanted to make this awesome flower I came across at Jak Heath's blog.  She also has a video  on youtube to illustrate this :)

This is what I came up with.... hope u like it!!

Here again I have used tags from 2 different clothing lines and tried to give an earthy look by using shades of brown and orange.

A close look at the flower...
I am going to enter this card in Kavitha's blogoversary contest for Guest Challenge :).

Simple cards using clothing tags

I try to reuse stuff as far as possible. These cards are made by using tags of a clothing line to create background for the artwork...

I had 3 tags of similar type, but I used 2 of them: one with blue-green color and other with yellow-mustard combination. The 3rd one had a more interesting design on its other side so I wanted to use it for another card.
