Baby girl card

I made this card in January for my Rakhi-bro's li'l baby doll - Apple! Yeah we call her Apple :) Didn't want to put this up on the site till I handed it over to the mommy. I tried to create the princess feel with the pink window........a la cindrella!

A close-up of the window:

I am entering this card into Whiff of Joy 100th Celebration Challenge. Congratulations Whiff of Joy on reaching your 100th Challenge!

This card is also going for another challenge at Card Creations & More by C. The challenge requirement was to use a patterned ribbon in the project. I have used a purple ribbon with heart pattern on it in the card.

I am also entering this card for Kavitha's Anniversary Celebration Week 3-Inspirational Challenge.

Quilled pastels

I call them Quilled Pastels because of the soothing pastel edges. These borders are actually trimmed from a magazine....... I try to reuse as far as possible and put it to good use :)
The pink and the blue cards are identical, differing only in the card size and the design on the border -  blue one has all blue flowers while the pink one has pink and cream flowers.
The purple one is also quite similar theme-wise. I used a top border also for it. Loving the way they've turned out!

On your Retirement, Dad!

Inner view

It is indeed a very proud moment for me that my retired from the Indian Army on 11th Mar 2011, after 30 long years of service. I wanted to make a very special card for him. He is an ardent admirer of my work and he cherishes each card that I gift him :) Love you Dad!

Black twirls card

I call this the 'Black twirls card' because of the black colored stems and leaves. I liked the below posted card with the combo of mustard & black so much that I decide to do away with the traditional green leaves.
The 'S' arrangement was an experiment and I liked the way it turned out.

A simple floral card

I started out with this card with my newly acquired border punch. There was no specific idea in mind and I just kept adding one element after the other. Instead of the traditional green stems and leaves I decided to use black paper for them. The mustard flowers and black leaves go very well together.

Fast Food - as in Vrat ka khana :)

Ingredients
Singhade ka atta (Flour) - 1 cup
Potatoes , boiled & mashed - 3 medium sized
Green chillies, chopped
Green coriander, chopped
