Hi all. ICR members celebrated first official ICR meet on 1st Saturday of this month. We in Mumbai celebrated the meet on 11th at Barista, RCity Mall, Ghatkopar. Here are some glimpses of the meet.
6 members attended the meet: Left to Right - Mrs Nirmala, Gopi Shah, Indira Tanwar, Ushma Shah, Jarna Patel and Seema Luthra.
Seema's daughter Rhea, a budding crafter, helping us...
Seema is viewing Mrs Nirmala's craft album. Mrs Nirmala is a certified teacher from Fevicryl .
 ICR Swap co-ordinator Gopi
Mrs Nirmala with her gorgeous duplex paper roses.
 Ushma, Jarna and Seema...
As part of the meet we were supposed to exchange goody bags having raw material to make a card. These are the kits we exchanged...
This is the kit I put together.... it went to Ushma..
And this is the kit I received from Seema...

And this is the card I made with it........ I have only used the stuff provided in the kit.

While I was at RCity Mall, I thought I'll go around and see what's new. So I came across something crafty, recycled, made from newspaper.. Feast your eyes!!
Bbye.... and have a great day!!

Recycled Bookmarks

Hi All. These are some bookmarks that I made using old wedding cards.
The texture of these handmade papers is really nice and I wanted to make use of them.
I have stuck colored papers to hide the text on the cards and retained the golden border on top and bottom.

 Thanks for visiting!

Exploding box - Orange and Cars theme

Hi All! Wish you all a very Happy (belated) Friendship Day. Here I am with another exploding box that I had made on order. The color is mainly orange and theme is "Cars".
You may like to see my other Exploding boxes with below themes:

Let's have a look at the box now. Isn't the PP so gorgeous. Thanks so much Khush for sending this across and to ICR for arranging the 6x6" paper swap :)
I made this tag for the top. I did some doodling on the border, stuck Miss Elizabeth's sentiment stickers, that I purchased from Hobby Ideas, and some black rhinestones.
Here we go...The cut of this box is different from the others that I made.
 A peek inside...
 Open it up....
Do you see the 3 different springs that I have made. The cars stickers rest on the springs.

I made a little fence around the springs and stuck some more stikers on it.
A placeholder for a tag and for writing the kid's name.
Three of the inner panels have photos and fourth one has the kids name as above..
The four outer panels for journalling

Hope you like my creation!! Thanks for visiting.

Exploding box - Blue and Ocean theme

Hi all. Here is another exploding box that I made on order. The client wanted a blue colored box so I thought of having an ocean/sea theme.
Here is a look at the box
Top view of the box. I have used raffia, some dried grass, shells, fish charm and a star fish to give a snapshot of the inner theme.
A peek inside... do you see my li'l fishes popping up!!
The full layout [click to enlarge]
Here I have used 3 small springs, as opposed to 1 in my last exploding box.
I have adhered fish stickers on the springs and the base.
I used Itsy Bitsy stickers to write the child's name. I have handcut the tag and stamped it using masking technique.
The four outer corners have pockets made with PP to hold tags made in various shapes and colors. The hexagon tag in purple here...
Star shaped tag in orange
Round tag in yellow color
Oval tag in green
Here is a view of all the tags together....
Thanks for visiting.
